THE CARTOON BARBER

Rossini's Barber of Seville, told with music, Manga drawings,  animations and text

THE SOCIAL REVOLUTION IN ROSINA'S EMBLEMATIC EVENT

Explore how through the story of a woman, what social, ethical and moral revolution took place at the end of the eighteenth century and discover that these are surprisingly current themes.

Let the children discover the world of the Opera  using multiple expressive languages: Manga drawing and music.

The comic barber  was born from a musical idea: the suite of  Vincenzo Gambaro  on the music of the Opera by  Rossini , arranged for wind orchestra. To this musical version  Giambattista Giocoli  he thought of combining the intricate story of  Rosina, through the unpublished drawings of the Japanese mangaka  Tsukishiro Yūko . Two apparently distant languages, united however by the story and the expressiveness.

The lyric plunges into the contemporaneity of Japanese comics, the immediacy of visual art intertwines with the sound, returning a new and original version of the work that knows how to speak even to a young and contemporary audience.
