FROM THE WINDOW OF LUCIO
Starting from the presentation of the new single by Cris La Torre , godfather of the event, freely inspired by a letter from Dalla published in the book Lucio Dalla - The man of mirrors (Minerva Edizioni), the evening celebrates the artistic and cultural value of the great Bolognese singer-songwriter in an innovative way, following his history and opening many ideological "windows" on the records, the years and the events that characterized his career.
On stage many artists, starting from young singer-songwriter and producer Rod Mannara , in the dual role of artistic director and conductor, Sarah 6 , stage name of Serenella Occhipinti, godmother of the event, back from three editions of Sanremo Festival, the songwriter and producer Marcello Romeo , the prestigious participation of musicians George Santisi (bassist of the "Sara 6" project but also collaborator of numerous artists such as Federico Poggipollini, Vince Pastano, Sal Da Vinci, Gianni Morandi, Arisa e longtime member of James Brown's band "Pee Wee Ellis") e Damiano Trevisan (collaborator drummer of Pupo, Toto Cutugno, Gem Boy, Cristina D'Avena and the formation with the which participated in the Jova Beach Party "Duo Bucolico") and a young team of good people emerging songwriters who, driven by great respect and love towards Lucio Dalla, will reinterpret his musical and stylistic language through the different artistic experiences from which they come: Kevin Crime, Jo Brown, Bolletz, Sofia Mehiel, Long live the king! And Marsala.
The guests will embellish the evening Vito D'Eri , friend and official double of Lucio, who talking on stage with Cris La Torre, will talk about his experience alongside Dalla, and Gabriel Vaccargiu , dancer and choreographer, already featured in the music video From Lucio's window, where he performed a suggestive tip tap performance in Piazza Maggiore on the final solo of the great guitarist Ricky Portera.
"This concert is a great little example of sharing and unity of common intentions, ideas and visions ... - exclaims the tenor Cris La Torre - I think it is very important for an artist, even after a 25-year career like mine, to always keep the desire to confront each other, to get involved by exploring new musical worlds and collaborating with colleagues from totally different experiences from their own ... and I am also referring to the new generations. With this spirit, starting from my piece, we have created a very broad and articulated show, aimed at paying homage to Lucio, one of the most significant and revolutionary artists and intellectuals of Italian culture, whom I have had the good fortune to meet on several occasions and who I respect deeply. It seems like a dream to me, after 4 very long months of quarantine, to finally be able to sing my new song inspired by Lucio in front of a real audience, in flesh and blood ... My kingdom has always been the stage, I can't express myself on the web to the best".
The project "From the window of Lucio" by MegaDischi / PMS , supported by Emil Banca Credito Cooperativo , sponsored by Cna Bologna , promoted by the network Bologna UNESCO City of Music and realized in collaboration with Baraccano Theater of Bologna and Lions Club Bologna.
