PHASE DUO

Phase duo mixes the typical accounting of tradition with electronic, classical, jazz and electronic sounds in a thin thread that unravels between Vivaldi , Steve Reich and the Indian Raga .

Phase duo are Eloisa Manera (violinist, composer and  improviser) and Stefano Greco (producer, sound designer and DJ). You come from the world of classical music, you have played with Mario Brunello and Herbie Hancock and your art has no boundaries; the monthly Musica Jazz included her in the shortlist of the 10 women who are changing jazz; he from the Milanese electronic environment with an unbridled passion for polyrhythms, Africa and Mussorgsky.

The duo was born as an arranged marriage with Saul Beretta as matchmaker for one of the Musicamorfosi projects, a true artistic love that blossomed at Notturni 2015 and then exploded at LAC in Lugano for Focus India 2017 and which led to the production of their first album, where is it  they mix their different histories and artistic backgrounds.

A mix or rather a live remix of minimal music by Steve Reich and Terry Riley that led them to write and experiment original and minimal Indian Raga songs between live and electronic.
They collaborated with Cristina Crippi for the
Universal Phase project conceived with Fabio Peri for Danae Festival which debuted at the Milan Planetarium in October 2019.

Phase Duo's first album was released by AUT records in Berlin on June 24, 2019.
