SOUND ACTS
8 August, 9.30 pm
POPULAR SONGS
music by Luciano Berio, Maurice Ravel and Manuel De Falla
Concert with music by Berio, Ravel and De Falla, with "popular song" in the center.
The Siete canciones populares españolas by Manuel De Falla and the Folk songs by Luciano Berio, interpreted by the voice of Patrizia Biccirè , show us how tradition can be crossed by the eccentric gaze of authors of Western "cultured" music.
Another protagonist of the program will be the harp , already present in the pieces by De Falla and Berio, which will become a soloist in the famous Settimino by Maurice Ravel .
Here, played by José Antonio Domené , it will express itself to its fullest potential, through variations and developments of popular themes, in an effective whirlwind of sound beams with a popular flavor.
