Sarah Jane Morris , singer and author between rock, blues and jazz, and the great actor and performer Silvio Castiglion have given life to a new project that will amaze the most loyal fans. Famous for her red mane and a censored interpretation of the classic Me and Mrs. Jones , the singer has always attracted attention for both political views and vocals. His talent joins the fertile research of Silvio Castiglioni, actor and theatrical researcher. This is the continuation of the happy intuition and collaboration between Silvio Castiglioni, Fabrizio Bosso and Luciano Biondini which resulted in a concert for Jack London . Now as then, the encounter between the arts is the protagonist, that of the poetic story of the fabulator Castiglioni, and of singing through the power and vocal charisma of Morris, accompanied by Tony Remy and Tim Cansfield on guitars.
“ When Sarah sent me her new songs - says Castiglioni - and in particular the one that gives the show its title, I thought about the crow and the world of fairy tales. In many civilizations the crow is considered a ferryman between the kingdom of the living and that of the dead: when the heart of the dead person is particularly filled with pain and anger, or with grateful love, the crow resurrects his soul so that it can return to settle the scores. In fairy tales, the involvement of the dead is frequent, as is the hero's journey into the unknown; a journey that many people in the world today are forced to make out of desperation and necessity, as sung by Sarah in her poignant version of Imagine (the show also includes some of her well-known interpretations!) These and other suggestions have led us into the heart of a fairy tale created by the genius of HC Andersen; a little known story, light and profound, which cultivates the ancient pleasure of listening, here arranged to emotionally intertwine the different worlds evoked by the songs, and prepare us for the disturbing power of Sarah's grand finale ”.
