Recorded live in May 2018 in the small church of Casola (BO), in solo for bandoneon and flute , this fourth musical chapter by Maver is the transformation of a feeling, where listening inside and out is a goal, thanks to the as listener and performer come together in a total experience. Volver is music that comes from silence and is attracted to silence. The only one does not entertain, it undresses. The choice to play solo allows Maver to keep the sounds of the instruments pure, working in subtraction and leaving an almost decisive role to the pauses. GIAMBATTISTA GIOCOLI artistic director and director of the Baraccano Orchestra Initially a clarinetist, born in 1976 in Matera, he studied clarinet in his hometown and then graduated from the Bologna Conservatory. As an instrumentalist he studied with Perrone, Quarenghi, Tirincanti, Pay and Carbonare, immediately starting an intense concert activity in Italy and abroad. He makes recordings for Italian and foreign radios, recording several classical and contemporary music CDs. For 10 years he collaborated with the opera and symphonic seasons of the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna with which he made many tours in Italy and abroad. He has collaborated with the FontanaMIX Contemporary Music ensemble of Bologna and with the Sentieri Selvaggi ensemble of Milan, with a concert activity in Europe and Asia. In 2013 he made his debut as conductor in the production of American musicals and in the same year he founded the Baraccano Orchestra, with which he produced chamber musical theater projects and symphonic projects which he still carries on tour. Since 2015 he has been collaborating as guest conductor with the Orchestra of the Toscanini Foundation of Parma and since 2017 with the Rossini Symphony Orchestra of Pesaro. In 2018 he also began to collaborate with the Lucana Orchestra Foundation and the Virtuosi dell'Opera Italiana. In 2021, with his orchestra, he will be on tour in the Czech Republic. The opera plunges into the contemporaneity of Japanese comics, the immediacy of the visual art is intertwined with the sound, giving back a new and original version of the work that can also speak to a young and contemporary audience. The new arrangements that ATTI SONORI has produced for chamber orchestra have given life to a new score for 10 real parts , in which the work is stripped of the recitative parts and stages only the music, while the comics are projected onto a backdrop. scenographic and tell the story through the suggestion of the images. ORCHESTRA DEL BARACCANO The Baraccano Orchestra was born within the activities of Theater of They baraccano of Bologna, where a production and research project on the theater is carried out chamber music. Founded in 2013, it is directed by its artistic director Giambattista Juggles . The Orchestra has produced numerous musical theater performances both independently both in co-production and collaboration with the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, BSMT productions and the University of Bologna. Among the productions we remember: Histoire du Soldat by Igor Stravinskij; A Little Night Music And Sweeney Todd by Stephen Sondheim; the project At the Opera! , symphonies, interludes and overtures of the Italian opera e 4th Gustav Mahler , the fourth Symphony by Mahler, arranged for chamber orchestra. ​ In 2017 he created: Popular songs , with soloist Cristina Zavallon i; a new Histoire du soldat with the reciting voice of Ivano Marescotti and The Barber in Comics , "The Barber of Seville" for music, animations and Manga comics, designed by Tsukishiro Yuko, in international co-production with the Japan . Letters and Double Quartet Music and musical gesture are the body on stage. Letters, documents and images are essential traces of Elsa and Ottorino Respighi's life. (Sandra Cavallini) My letters to Ottorino and hers to me trace the first period of our life together. After the wedding, the correspondence between us is very little, because in the eighteen years of life together we were only separated for a few days. (Elsa Olivieri Sangiacomo) ​ A theatrical adaptation of the letters that Respighi exchanged with his wife Elsa Olivieri before their marriage was woven on the music of Ottorino Respighi's "Doppio Quartetto". These are letters that Elsa herself has collected in a volume, which she simply titled "Ottorino Respighi". A very precious instrument will enrich the musical performance: the violinist Roberto Noferini will play the violin that belonged to Respighi , a violin of prestigious and ancient Bolognese lutherie, built around 1730. by the luthier Florenus Guidantus (1687-1760). The scenographic images will help to discover a fragment of the life of this great Bolognese musician and composer, who, for his genius, deserves to be rediscovered by his city to which he was very attached. Respighi is deeply and intimately linked to the city of Bologna and lives it with very strong nostalgia every time he moves away from it. In fact, he settled in Rome in 1913, winning the competition for the Chair of Composition and Fugue at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, but his countless journeys can already be counted from his youth in via Castagnoli 2 (now Largo Respighi - BO), starting from the small room used as a study, from the fir bookcase built with his own hands, from the collection of vocabularies in different languages, with a particular curiosity for the less known ones. The vocabularies are followed by atlases and hours spent studying a geographical map. “ Those were, those were the first trips, the most beautiful I've ever done around the world ”. It is not always easy to play a dreamer. ​ The event is part of the RESPIGHI project .
