  • Bhratantyam Margam

April 13, 8 pm MARGAM Indian dance theater show with Apoorva Jayaraman The Bhārata Nāṭyam is the oldest form of sacred dance theater originating in South India. The term Nāṭyam in Sanskrit means dance, Bhārata is instead an acronym of the three words Bhāva (expression), Rāga (melody), Tāla (rhythm). The style known as Bhārata Nāṭyam is in fact a perfect synthesis of these three elements. The dancer, or the dancer, through the movements and expressiveness of her body tells stories of gods and heroes. Life in all its forms is represented through this wonderful form of yoga in motion in which even the eyes dance. APOORVA JAYARAMAN was born in Bangalore, and met Bhārata Nātyam at the tender age of 5. At 16 she moved to Chennai to study with the great teacher Kalanidhi Narayanan and since then she has had the opportunity to train permanently with Priyadarsini Govind, one of the most eminent dancers of this style of dance. In his own words ' Dancing, and activities surrounding it, have brought me a sense of fulfillment like nothing else so far has '. Apoorva has a degree in Physics from the University of Oxford and a PHD in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge (UK). February 16, 9 pm in collaboration with Bologna Harp Festival SYNANTYS Sangineto Ensemble Sparkling energy and great musical ability of two twins, Adriano and Caterina, born to a luthier father and raised in an environment pervaded by the music of great artists (such as Alan Stivell, The Chieftains and Carlos Núñez). Their concert combines ancient sounds and harmonies with modern rhythms and transports the audience into a riot of twists, alternating melodic suggestions of the Celtic tradition with more modern and unexpected musical genres: a Celtic harp and an arched psaltery (created by the hands wise men of his father Michele Sangineto) who move the most intense strings of the soul, leaving freedom to the masterful timbre of the two voices. An explosive mix for a performance that amazed the Russian, Belgian, Dutch, Spanish, French and Anglo-Saxon audiences. The Sangineto Ensemble was born in 2000 and initially includes all the members of the Sangineto family: the father Michele, the mother Paola and the two twins Adriano and Caterina. He performs throughout Europe presenting a repertoire of ancient music from the Middle Ages to the French, Italian and English Renaissance while exporting the instruments of the Sangineto violin making in festivals, reviews and exhibitions of musical instruments in France, Germany, England, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain and Belgium. Today the core of the group is made up of the two twins Adriano and Caterina Sangineto. Formed within the artistic environment of their father, Michele Sangineto, luthier of Celtic harps and bowed psalters, the twins could only develop a natural inclination for ancient music, which they approached in the very first phase of their musical growth. to then arrive at popular music in all its facets, with a special predilection for the Irish, Breton and French tradition. Thanks also to their classical training (they both studied successfully at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan) and to the knowledge of popular pop music, the group aims to reinterpret and recover the European musical tradition in a modern perspective, updating the use of ancient and popular instruments. Ensemble Sangineto is an ever-expanding, versatile and multifaceted project that skilfully combines archaic sounds and harmonies with modern rhythms and arrangements that are affected by influences from various musical genres: jazz, classical, Gregorian chant, musical, pop and Celtic music. In the direction of an interpenetration of all these genres, the musical experimentation of the Ensemble was born: songs mainly from the Irish, Scottish and Breton tradition, but also Italian, alternate original pieces that reflect the heterogeneity of the musical experiences of the musicians. Fascinating mixes in sparkling interpretations characterize one of the most exciting and original emerging groups in the Italian panorama of Celtic music. The precious combination of the harp and the arched psaltery and the magical blend of voices, the suspended and dreamy atmospheres, all in a riot of vibrations that envelop in their intense purity. The Ensemble collaborates with the international artist Carlos Núñez and occasionally with guitarists Tiziano Cogliati and Jacopo Ventura. www.adrianosangineto.com Ticket € 14 (full), € 12 (reduced) Buy tickets

BURATTINGEGNO November 24, 9.30 am STRAY' (HARD-SIDED) A show on the value of four-legged friendship . "Sure, but who tells you that he likes to have someone pull his tail, that he forgets to take him to the garden or he forgets the his dinner? The other day your mother told you to take Birillo out and you replied that you didn't have time because you had to finish watching cartoons ... " "But it was true!" “Very well, then let's start right from the day when Giovanna wants to go out in the garden and her owner Dalmata has no intention of moving from her kennel where she is cheerfully nibbling a bone. If you want to find out how this story ends, you have to go ahead " RandaGiò - a muzzle for a heart ”is a show that speaks to the sensitivity of children, explaining how cruel a man can be who decides to mistreat or abandon a four-legged friend on the street. What does a dog think when it loses its owner? And what does a human cub feel when the situation is reversed and he finds himself alone in a world of selfish and enemy dogs? A relationship is built by weaving threads of patience marked by the passage of time, mistreating a four-legged friend until you get to abandon it means finding yourself alone struggling with your own selfishness. But Giò's grandparents know all this well and, in telling their story, they will accompany it to make the value of respect for all our four-legged friends shine again. Written and directed by Stefano Antonini with Anna Pancaldi and Marco Soccol
