Scheda Popular Songs RADIO RITMO on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi (1874- 1937) On October 30, 1938, Orson Welles' radio broadcast triggered panic, making people believe that an interplanetary conflict had begun through an alien invasion in New Jersey, giving rise to the first major fake news spread through a means of communication. Freely inspired by The War of the Worlds, RADIO RITMO aims to recall the impressive communicative power of radio and, at the same time, stimulate reflection on the impressive effect of the media and their reliability. From a concert hall, where an orchestra is performing, the apocalyptic expedient of H. G. Wells' text begins. Two actors reproduce the radio broadcast, In RADIO RITMO we find the extraordinary engaging capacity of sounds and voices, still not overwhelmed by images, leaving room for imagination and recreating an incredible atmosphere. actors Mirko Rizzotto e Sandra Cavallini director Massimo Sceusa Baraccano Orchestra conductor Giambattista Giocoli violin Gabriele Bellu cello Alessandro Culiani flute Claudia Piga bassoon Davide Braco piano Denis Zardi arrangements Giambattista Giocoli, Filippo Mazzoli, Denis Zardi vintage antenna construction Sandro Manini MUSIC FOLK SONGS musiche di Luciano Berio (1925- 2003) per mezzosoprano e sette esecutori INTRODUZIONE E ALLEGRO - “SETTIMINO” musiche di Maurice Ravel (1876-1946) per arpa, flauto, clarinetto e quartetto d’archi SIETE CANCIONES POPULARES ESPAÑOLAS musiche di Manuel de Falla (1876-1946) orchestrazione e arrangiamenti originali per mezzosoprano e nove esecutori ORCHESTRA DEL BARACCANO The Baraccano Orchestra was born within the activities of the Theater of Baraccano in Bologna, where a production and research project on chamber music theater is carried out. SOUND ACTS 12 and 13 February, matinee for schools IN THE NAME OF A ROSE In this show, themes such as the meaning of life and the meaning of love and friendship are addressed. Each planet visited by the protagonist, who travels in the Universe, represents a metaphor of human nature. The King represents the thirst for power. The Vanitosa is a symptom of a gaze turned towards oneself and not towards the other. The drunkard is the emblem of the social unease of lonely people. The businessman is the explicit reference to the frenzy of the world. The Lampionario is the only figure of a man who does something useful, that is, he deals with something other than himself. Finally, the Geographer is the metaphor of knowledge, in which emotions are its engine, just as affectivity moves knowledge. Company ChiE'diSCENA 05 08 010 06 07 011

La Praga di Kafka Praga non ci lascia più andare. Questa piccola madre ha gli artigli. Non c’è altro da fare che cedere. Per potersene liberare bisognerebbe darle fuoco da due lati, il Vyšehrad e il Hradčany. Franz Kafka Il Barbiere a Fumetti was born from a musical idea: Vincenzo Gambaro's suite on the music of Rossini's Opera, arranged for wind orchestra. In this musical version, Maestro Giocoli decided to combine the intricate story of Rosina , told by the unpublished drawings of the Japanese mangaka Tsukishiro Yūko. Two apparently distant languages, united however by the story and the expressiveness. The opera plunges into the contemporaneity of Japanese comics, the immediacy of the visual art is intertwined with the sound, giving back a new and original version of the work that can also speak to a young and contemporary audience. The new arrangements that ATTI SONORI has produced for chamber orchestra have given life to a new score for 10 real parts , in which the work is stripped of the recitative parts and stages only the music, while the comics are projected onto a backdrop. scenographic and tell the story through the suggestion of the images. At the end of each piece, the musician Carlo Negroni will improvise on the theme just heard, supporting his own culture and musical sensitivity. Commedia madrigalesca di Adriano Banchieri. Compagnia Dramatodia, ensemble di musica e teatro. Compagnia Dramatodia, music and theater ensemble 10 August, 9.30 pm THE BOAT OF VENICE FOR PADUA madrigal comedy by Adriano Banchieri The music gives voice to a colorful series of characters: merchants, courtesans, students, Jews, foreigners, gathered in an imaginary river journey between the two main centers of the Serenissima Republic, Venice and Padua. The Boat of Venice for Padua , published in Venice in 1605, is a profane music by Adriano Banchieri ; Olivetan monk of the Bolognese convent of San Michele in Bosco, composer and music theorist among the most illustrious of the early seventeenth century. Among his works attributable to the genre of the Madrid comedy La Barca stands out for the rich narrative frame in which the various pieces are set. The Dramatodía ensemble, made up of 13 elements, owes its name (from the Greek “representative song”) to the Intermediates above the deceived Aurora composed by Girolamo Giacobbi in 1605, which constituted the first example of musical theater in the Bolognese area. The ensemble was born in 2000 with the intention of reviving the theatrical repertoire of the comedians of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and to explore the musical production that arose to enrich the performances. Bruno Maderna July 6, 9.15 pm FontanaMIX ensemble - In.Nova Fert SEVEN SONGS FOR BRUNO a concert / documentary for Bruno Maderna's 100th anniversary Sette Canzoni per Bruno is a tribute that the FontanaMIXensemble and the "In.Nova Fert" Collective dedicate to Bruno Maderna on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. The concert / documentary represents the final moment of a research work and of a "Madernian" laboratory, with composers and performers, which wants to restore the image of the man and the artist, recalling the historical weight of his contribution and reflecting on his music as an example of an eternal classic. A different way to creatively revive the thought and the work suspended between a profound humanism and the rigor of the Neue Musik , between the love for ancient music and the game of magic squares , between a complex thought and a light one. Sette Canzoni per Bruno is made up of several expressive elements: one visual, one narrative and one musical. Fragments, sketches, magical squares of Maderna's work, also taken from the transcriptions of authors of the past and of the lighter production, represent the sources for free compositional elaborations that together form a musical tale strongly imbued with his way of making music and his tenacity to always investigate the new. In the same way the projections present in the concert / documentary collect and elaborate fragments of the life of the Venetian composer, of his intense activity as director and popularizer, forming visual compositions that interact musically with the elaborations for ensemble. The final result are seven musical moments for voices, ensembles, videos and electronics , which tell seven different chapters of Maderna's life, as a violinist and director of The Happy Grossato Company to the composer of the great masterpieces of the '70s. The compositional work curated by the In.Nova Fert Collective was made possible thanks to the precious consultations of the audiovisual material preserved at the Maderna Study Center of the Department of Arts of the University of Bologna. "From the childhood of an enfant prodige, between jazz and conducting, to the discovery of the Gabrieli and Monteverdi, to the comparison with the postdecaphonic lesson, here is the standing portrait of one of the protagonists of the music of the second half of the twentieth century, who often he preferred to highlight others and not his work, in a frenetic activity that always had an extraordinary humanity as its center of gravity, the pendulum of the most reckless artistic adventures.
