- Giuseppe Verdi re del pop
Suite concerto per orchestra di fiati. Produzione ATTI SONORI e Orchestra Sinfonica Rossini di Pesaro. Direttore Giambattista Giocoli. 12, 13 and 14 October, 21 hours GIUSEPPE VERDI, KING OF POP The greatest "pop" author in Italy was Maestro Giuseppe Verdi , whose name is also inextricably linked to the history of our country. And yet, while postponing his always current music, most young people today do not know him or remember him as an author of "classical" music, a genre reserved for an elite of the public. This project aims to build a new bridge to bring closer to his work those who associate the name Verdi simply to a city "square" or to the past, but at the same time also to intrigue those who already love him while ignoring the human path that generated his greatness. . Verdi is an absolutely "popular" author. An episode of the film "Casa Ricordi" tells that when it happened by chance in the riots between the crowd in turmoil and the soldiers who were about to shoot, everything stopped when they recognized him: the two opposing sides began to sing "Va Pensiero" and deposed the weapons. Whether this story was true or false, it is an emblematic sign that certifies the universal power of his compositions and the respect that everyone recognized for this genius of music. On the other hand, there are many real anecdotes about his life remembered with mastery by Maurizio Garuti , author who has published numerous books and signed plays for Ivano Marescotti and Vito, in a show that, in addition to entertaining and thrilling, represents an artistic proposal of high value. didactic and cultural. The proposed format is a theater-song piéce directed by Francesca Calderara , played by Franz Campi , who has already tried his hand at the genre on several occasions and who has reported numerous successes also as a musical author, Maurizia Cocchi, versatile actress particularly at ease in brilliant roles, and a highly experienced comedian-singer with a prestigious curriculum such as Eraldo Turra . The arrangement of the Maestro's music, sometimes re-proposed in an ironic key and declined in modern musical genres, is entrusted to the pianist and percussionist Alice Zecchinelli . The text tells in an ironic and funny way the meeting of two old friends who in their youth played in a band. One has left the music to take refuge in safe employment while the other has lost his sense of reason and on alternate days he believes he is once Lucio Dalla, another Fred Buscaglione, yet another Lucio Battisti ... But in the moment of the meeting with the old friend turns into Giuseppe Verdi. And while he accompanies her to his place of work, he lets himself go to the memories alternating hilarious or painful anecdotes from the life of the Master. During the journey the couple is intercepted by a strange character, a precarious worker, a homeless man .. who is involved in the intertwining of the surreal delusions of the siroccato and finds himself interpreting some of Verdi's most famous arias with conviction. And then the text also becomes a photograph of the discomfort of a group of people in difficulty, unfortunately increasingly numerous, who live in our metropolises in search of a dimension that allows them to exist and live in dignity. Lightness, irony and social denunciation thus succeed in transforming a brilliant story into a powerful pass to enter the world of opera and in particular that of the genius of Giuseppe Verdi. directed by Francesca Calderara with Franz Campi and Maurizia Cocchi tenor Eraldo Turra musical reworkings Alice Zecchinelli Ticket 12 € (full), 10 € (reduced) Buy tickets Verdi estrem1 Verdi estrem2

February 5, matinee THE CARTOON BARBER Rossini's Barber of Seville, told with music, Manga drawings, animations and text THE SOCIAL REVOLUTION IN ROSINA'S EMBLEMATIC EVENT Explore how through the story of a woman, what social, ethical and moral revolution took place at the end of the eighteenth century and discover that these are surprisingly current themes. Let the children discover the world of the Opera using multiple expressive languages: Manga drawing and music. The comic barber was born from a musical idea: the suite of Vincenzo Gambaro on the music of the Opera by Rossini , arranged for wind orchestra. To this musical version Giambattista Giocoli he thought of combining the intricate story of Rosina, through the unpublished drawings of the Japanese mangaka Tsukishiro Yūko . Two apparently distant languages, united however by the story and the expressiveness. The lyric plunges into the contemporaneity of Japanese comics, the immediacy of visual art intertwines with the sound, returning a new and original version of the work that knows how to speak even to a young and contemporary audience. The Ancient arias and dances for lute are a collection of free transcriptions from pieces for lute of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, created by Ottorino Respighi and organized in three suites for different orchestral ensembles. In 1917 Respighi created the First Suite , in 1923 the Second Suite , in 1931 the Third Suite . His wife Elsa collected and rearranged them all in 1937. In our original arrangement the eight real parts that make up the ensemble try to reproduce all the orchestral colors conceived by Respighi, with the aim of creating a fascinating synthesis between ensuring the presence of fundamental instruments for Respighi, such as the harp and the harpsichord, and the search for a new and modern sound with the inclusion of accordion and bass tuba. Subject of a careful renovation by the Municipality of Bologna, it was reopened and used as a theater in 2006. During the renovation, further frescoes were found in the main hall. In 2010 the Perséphone Association has won the tender of Municipality of Bologna / Q.re Santo Stefano for the management of the theater, where the ACTS SONORI project is carried out, which includes theater, music, interaction between the arts, shows and workshops for children. In 2014 the Teatro del Baraccano was recognized by the Giunta Municipal as part of the "City Theater System", it therefore carries out "institutional activity". - Concerto per Jack London
ATER - EMILIA ROMAGNA THEATER ASSOCIATION August 12, hours 21.30 CONCERT FOR JACK LONDON based on the short story "The Game" by Jack London The Concert for Jack London , is a jazz melodrama of love and boxing that sees theater and music meet and brings to the fore international musicians such as Fabrizio Bosso on trumpet and Luciano Biondini on accordion, accompanied by a narrator of caliber such as Silvio Castiglioni . The artistic development of the project was entrusted to Silvio Castiglioni for the textual and directing part and to Fabrizio Bosso and Luciano Biondini for the music. The result is a tribute to the most translated American writer, whose death centenary was celebrated in 2016, the father of White Fang and Call of the Forest , journalist, but also gold digger, oyster fisher, vagabond, social activist and much more, and had enormous success thanks to his novels. The show is based on his short story The Game (The game or The sport of the ring, depending on the translations), freely adapted by Silvio Castiglioni to make it congenial to the scene. A boxing story to the rhythm of the best sports reporter which he was able to be, among many other things, and at the same time a moving and heartbreaking love story. In the background the ductile and sulphurous soundtrack of Bosso's trumpet and Biondini's accordion. AUTHOR'S NOTES On stage with Bosso? Honored! Very honored, I thought when I received the offer to work with this giant of contemporary music, but what do I do? .... That's how I stumbled upon London, my old never-gone love. And who hasn't been in love with London? A real American at full speed. First I turned to the great epics of the Yukon, sled dogs, frost, extreme and even more famous London, then I remembered a boxing story that I have always loved and left closed in the drawer waiting for an opportunity to bring it back to light… Here it is, the opportunity. He had been an unrivaled boxing reporter when boxing was semi-underground. He also wrote about a great black boxer, when blacks were forbidden to fight - as women were forbidden to attend matches! As happens in our story. “The game” is beautiful. But also very long. It had to be cut and cut, ruthlessly, hoping not to lose all the strong flavors that inhabit it. London, born of the same fireball that generated great jazz. Quite popular and quite rebellious, and who managed not to be locked up in any genre, even though he haunted many, just like Fabrizio Bosso, an artist capable of activating a powerful listening opening, capable of accompanying a mother with the trumpet who he whispers a lullaby to his little girl, and of course to do everything else too, and unleash a storm out of nowhere! And then Luciano Biondini, with the accordion, who welcomes us in his heartbreaking and melancholy ring. www.ater.emr.it trumpet Fabrizio Bosso accordion Luciano Biondini fabulator Silvio Castiglioni Ticket € 13 (full), € 10 (reduced) Buy tickets Fabrizio Bosso Concerto per Jack London
