  • Due vecchiette dirette a Nord

Between One Act and the Other in collaboration with ATER - Emilia Romagna Theater Association 20 October, hours 21 21 October, 5 pm TWO OLD WOMEN GOING NORTH Deux petites dames vers le Nord by Pierre Notte In Two direct old ladies in the North - a sort of road movie with two “elderly” Thelma and Louise - the actresses tackle the theme of death through the ironic writing of Pierre Notte . Annette and Bernadette have just lost their mother and decided to bury her ashes near those of their father, in the north of the country. But in reality a daring journey begins, both real and metaphorical, full of memories and accounts to close. A mix of corrosive humor and tenderness. " Deux petites dames vers le Nord is a delicate fantasy about disrupted mourning. It is the refrain of reconciliation, belated but real, between people. It is not so much the pain of loss, but rather the moment in which it is possible to laugh, sometimes , even suddenly, unwittingly, as if by magic, as if guided by a ghost, when we learn of someone's death. who accept to take their ghosts by the hand and dance with them instead of carrying them on their shoulders ”(Pierre Notte). In the long and tiring search for a text for two actresses, which would respond to certain decisions theatrical and dramaturgical characteristics, we came across Pierre Notte's text and immediately wanted to stage it. Thanks to the great availability of the author and the kindness of the talented translator - Anna D'Elia - we were able to start this journey "in four": Angela, Francesca, Bernadette and Annette. A journey into the fears of the future which, as the theater teaches, can be - if not defeated - faced through irony. Old age, loss, grief and the past weigh heavily ; they often stiffen us, they extinguish our will to continue to give meaning to that last portion of life as well. Annette and Bernadette seem to affirm their diversity only to nourish the eternal conflict that animates their daily life: in reality they are much more similar than it seems in the continuous exchange of arrogance and fragility, of bravado and naivety. Above all, they will find themselves firmly accomplices in deciding to live again, to discover again and to dare what was previously unthinkable. What will your last words be before you die, they ask each other? Annette - Thanks for everything, see you soon Bernadette - Thanks for everything and see you next time The father, twenty-five years earlier, had taken his leave saying “it's okay anyway, a lot of review”. The author, through the two petites dames, seems to suggest to us the idea of a possible return, of a death that puts us in a perennial cycle of transformation and rebirth. We want to believe him. Angela Malfitano and Francesca Mazza Pierre Night Pierre Notte has written for the theater since the early nineties; general secretary of the Académie française between 2006 and 2009, he is also a journalist, poet, novelist, actor, director, as well as the author of radio texts and cabaret shows. He is a Knight of Arts and Letters and has received many awards for his work including the Molière du Théatre privé. with Angela Malfitano | Bernadette Francesca Mazza | Annette translation Anna D'Elia sound Alessandro Saviozzi video interventions Lorenzo Letizia Thanks to Fabrizio Arcuri and Maurizio Cardillo Ticket 12 € (full), 10 € (reduced) Buy tickets due vecchiette vanno a Nord_Malfitano_Ma Angela Malfitano e Francesca Mazza due vecchiette vanno a Nord_Malfitano_Ma Angela Malfitano e Francesca Mazza

  • Scheda AIDA

Scheda AIDA AIDA the music dances in the sand reduction of Giuseppe Verdi's Opera for ensemble, narrator and lights The monumental opera AIDA, in the musical version of the Baraccano Orchestra, does not require spectacular forcing on stage, nor colossal spaces or scenographic grandeur. Here even the elephants could stop marching, leaving space, amazed and moved, to the human drama between losers and winners, in war and in love. We find the suffocating gigantism desired by Giuseppe Verdi and the overwhelming effect on the soul of the young protagonists, in the original reduction and arrangement for instrumental ensemble with ten real parts, in the impetuous style of the director Giambattista Giocoli, in the verses spoken and whispered by Sandra Cavallini, in the desired metric irregularity of Antonio Ghislanzoni's libretto. L yrical accents, triumphal traits and sudden suspensions reveal the delicate depths of the work. A reduction and arrangement that will try, even without the singers, to restore the dramaturgy and symphonic power of this Opera and to convey its profound intimacy of feelings and musicality, in addition to the majestic and grandiose moments inspired by the magnificence of Egyptian civilization. Contrary to the predominant tradition, which made it famous mainly for the magnificence of the scenography, we therefore want to present an innovative reading, focused on the profound intimacy of feelings and reflections on social dynamics. • Allargo già le braccia

Allargo già le braccia 24 and 25 July, 9.30 pm | Courtyard of the Baraccano Theater in case of rain 26 July I ALREADY WIDEN MY ARMS the secret essence of unspoken things concert for musical ensemble, narrator and images ELSA and OTTORINO RESPIGHI. Letters and Double Quartet Music and musical gesture are the body on stage. Letters, documents and images are essential traces of Elsa and Ottorino Respighi's life. (Sandra Cavallini) My letters to Ottorino and hers to me trace the first period of our life together. After the wedding, the correspondence between us is very little, because in the eighteen years of life together we were only separated for a few days. (Elsa Olivieri Sangiacomo) A theatrical adaptation of the letters that Respighi exchanged with his wife Elsa Olivieri before their marriage was woven on the music of Ottorino Respighi's "Doppio Quartetto". These are letters that Elsa herself has collected in a volume, which she simply titled "Ottorino Respighi". A very precious instrument will enrich the musical performance: the violinist Roberto Noferini will play the violin that belonged to Respighi , a violin of prestigious and ancient Bolognese lutherie, built around 1730. by the luthier Florenus Guidantus (1687-1760). The scenographic images will help to discover a fragment of the life of this great Bolognese musician and composer, who, for his genius, deserves to be rediscovered by his city to which he was very attached. Respighi is deeply and intimately linked to the city of Bologna and lives it with very strong nostalgia every time he moves away from it. In fact, he settled in Rome in 1913, winning the competition for the Chair of Composition and Fugue at the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, but his countless journeys can already be counted from his youth in via Castagnoli 2 (now Largo Respighi - BO), starting from the small room used as a study, from the fir bookcase built with his own hands, from the collection of vocabularies in different languages, with a particular curiosity for the less known ones. The vocabularies are followed by atlases and hours spent studying a geographical map. “ Those were, those were the first trips, the most beautiful I've ever done around the world ”. It is not always easy to play a dreamer. The event is part of the RESPIGHI project .
