In 1917 Respighi created the First Suite , in 1923 the Second Suite , in 1931 the Third Suite . His wife Elsa collected and rearranged them all in 1937. In our original arrangement the eight real parts that make up the ensemble try to reproduce all the orchestral colors conceived by Respighi, with the aim of creating a fascinating synthesis between ensuring the presence of fundamental instruments for Respighi, such as the harp and the harpsichord, and the search for a new and modern sound with the inclusion of accordion and bass tuba. He studied with the Artemis, Brodsky, Prometeo Quartets and with the components of the major quartets of our time (including Milan Skampa of the Quartet Smetana and Hatto Beyerle of the Quartet Alban Berg). In 2017 the Indigo Quartet obtained a Master in Chamber Music at the Musikhochschule in Hannover. Guest of prestigious musical institutions (we point out the concert held at the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome and broadcast live on Rai Radio 3), he has performed throughout Europe, and since 2017 he has taken part in the Le Dimore del Quartetto Project in collaboration with ADSI and Piero Farulli Association. Finalist in the prestigious international competition "Premio Paolo Borciani 2017", the Indigo Quartet has won several prizes, including the international competitions "Premio Papini", "Enrica Cremonesi" and the scholarships "Hohenloher Kultursommer Hannover" and "Fondo Morosini for the culture". In 2014 he received the special “Jeunesses Musicales” award as part of the 10th edition of the “Paolo Borciani Award”. Numerous collaborations with internationally renowned musicians, including Bruno Canino, Avi Avital, Giovanni Scaglione, Yves Henry and Valentin Erben, historical cellist of the Alban Berg Quartet, with whom in 2012 he performed the quintet with two Schubert cellos. 2 and 3 March, 9 pm PURGATORY BUM BUM a project of the Compagnia della Quarta To play down the sacredness of the three places traditionally dedicated to the purification of the spirit, is the goal of Purgatorio Bum Bum, the first chapter of a trilogy of theater and dance in which hell, purgatory and paradise become surreal and grotesque settings in which a veteran and a fool sinful freshman play with competition and gambling on the probabilities of their own destiny. Purgatorio boom boom opens with a danced divertissement that tells the long wait towards the divine in an exchange of roles that does not guarantee salvation, much less, the assumption into heaven of the chosen one. Original sin has made us guilty against our will. Regardless of the conduct of an entire life, the path to redemption becomes necessary and inevitable. What better place, if not purgatory, to decontaminate the soul from any dirt and then aspire to the empyrean? In Purgatorio Bum Bum a choreographer / dancer and an actor / performer, through body language and an "English-speaking gramelot" in a non-place suspended between the possible and the unimaginable, put on stage the story of a "teacher" who sees as his last hope for approaching a better life, the transmission of his experiences to a pupil who is not really adequate to the circumstances. ATER - EMILIA ROMAGNA THEATER ASSOCIATION August 12, hours 21.30 CONCERT FOR JACK LONDON based on the short story "The Game" by Jack London The Concert for Jack London , is a jazz melodrama of love and boxing that sees theater and music meet and brings to the fore international musicians such as Fabrizio Bosso on trumpet and Luciano Biondini on accordion, accompanied by a narrator of caliber such as Silvio Castiglioni . The artistic development of the project was entrusted to Silvio Castiglioni for the textual and directing part and to Fabrizio Bosso and Luciano Biondini for the music. The result is a tribute to the most translated American writer, whose death centenary was celebrated in 2016, the father of White Fang and Call of the Forest , journalist, but also gold digger, oyster fisher, vagabond, social activist and much more, and had enormous success thanks to his novels. The show is based on his short story The Game (The game or The sport of the ring, depending on the translations), freely adapted by Silvio Castiglioni to make it congenial to the scene. A boxing story to the rhythm of the best sports reporter which he was able to be, among many other things, and at the same time a moving and heartbreaking love story. In the background the ductile and sulphurous soundtrack of Bosso's trumpet and Biondini's accordion. AUTHOR'S NOTES On stage with Bosso? Honored! Very honored, I thought when I received the offer to work with this giant of contemporary music, but what do I do? .... That's how I stumbled upon London, my old never-gone love. And who hasn't been in love with London? A real American at full speed. First I turned to the great epics of the Yukon, sled dogs, frost, extreme and even more famous London, then I remembered a boxing story that I have always loved and left closed in the drawer waiting for an opportunity to bring it back to light… Here it is, the opportunity. He had been an unrivaled boxing reporter when boxing was semi-underground. He also wrote about a great black boxer, when blacks were forbidden to fight - as women were forbidden to attend matches! As happens in our story. “The game” is beautiful. But also very long. It had to be cut and cut, ruthlessly, hoping not to lose all the strong flavors that inhabit it.
